ABOUT
The Manitoba Curling Tour (MCT) is a governing body run by a group of volunteers who all curl on the tour, and whose goal is to grow the tour’s visibility and membership within our province. The MCT strives to be highly competitive in order to attract world-class teams, yet remain accessible for all teams looking to enter the sport above a recreational level.
Each season Curl Manitoba allocates a select number of berths for both the women and men into their respective Manitoba Provincial Playdowns. These provincial berths are awarded through both locally hosted events determined by the MCT, and through points allocation as teams participate in various events throughout the season. The MCT works with local event organizers to set up the dates, formats, and locations of MCT-sanctioned events, and this year will host a final MCT Tour Wind-Up bonspiel where we will mix things up (eg. skins games) in celebration of great year of curling and competition. Out of province teams are welcome to play in tour events, however unless based in Manitoba will be ineligible for any provincial berths.
The MCT is funded by allocating partial amounts per team registration per bonspiel for tour expenses, with the remainder going towards bonspiel prize payouts. We also rely on both tour and event sponsorship from generous companies and organizations that we encourage our members to support.
Registration for MCT events can be completed through our Curling I/O link where teams can register for multiple bonspiels with one payment. Please note that INTERNATIONAL TEAMS must submit payment by credit card at the time of registration, however e-transfer is available for Canadian teams using mbcurlingtour@gmail.com.
All MCT events will use a standardized set of rules with eligible points confirmed on a per event basis depending on the number of entries.
The tour schedule is released as early as possible once dates have been confirmed.
